“He who testifies to these things says, ‘Surely I am coming quickly.’ ” Revelation 22:20

Greetings to all my precious friends in the name of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ! What a joy and privilege it is to always get in touch and speak of His mercies together (Psalm 89:1) and to know that His promises are Yes & Amen in Him! (2 Corinthians 1:20). Glory to God!

As I was pondering as to what the Lord wanted to convey in continuation to what He has been talking about these times, a thought struck which was simple yet intriguing.

We should have often heard of the story of the Israelites murmuring or grumbling against the Lord while on their journey to the Promised Land in the wilderness. Although the Bible says in Nehemiah 9:21 ‘Forty years You sustained them in the wilderness; they lacked nothing; their clothes did not wear out and their feet did not swell’. (Deuteronomy 8:4) Through no lack and with abundance of spiritual pampering, probably it was just basic human nature that should’ve made them feel lost and bereft through 40 whole years of nothing but the wilderness!

But sometimes our Lord is so jealous that He is more concerned about the change of character and heart to one like His than the final destiny itself! It says in Deuteronomy 8:2, ‘And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not’.

And this followed with me wondering if it wasn’t the same jealousy that held them captive at a spot where they had to completely trust God!

It says in Exodus 14:19,20 – “And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went before them and stood behind them. So it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel. Thus it was a cloud and darkness to one, and it gave light by night to the other, so that one did not come near the other all that night.” 

Visually this might have been a terrifying event to behold as the Lord Himself stood as a pillar of fire between His children – the Israelites and the Egyptians. Although it may seem in one sense that the Lord was protecting His children from their enemy, simultaneously on the other hand it does seem obvious that the Israelites were held captive between the Lord and the Red Sea! They could neither move forward nor run backward in the familiar way that they came through! Hallelujah!

I used to often recount a quote my brother used from one of the great men of God. It quotes, “You face your greatest battle when you are closest to your biggest miracle!”

Seems right to me to say that the Lord indeed held the Israelites captive between a pillar of fire on one side and the red sea by the other so there was but no way except for the Lord Himself to do a miracle and that HE did!

It says in Exodus 14:13, “And Moses said to the people, ‘Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see no more forever.’ ”

It feels right to say that in these last days, sometimes the Lord on purpose holds us captive in a way or at a spot where we can neither move forward nor backwards in the familiar way we know.

Be assured that before the Grand Finale the Lord always takes us through a moment of stillness before Him, to a complete sense of calmness – a place where we’re pushed to have zero trust in self as we’re encountered with something that we can do nothing about!

THE RED SEA WILL PART, MY FRIEND!! It has to part. The LORD who is taking you through it is LORD GOD and HE is your God and my God! Hallelujah!

If you’re going through a season where it feels you’re held captive by the Lord Himself on one side and encountered with a situation on the other side concerning which you can do absolutely nothing, then be assured that the Lord is preparing ways which your eye has not seen before! His ways are amazing! (Psalm 72:18)

And in times like these where the enemy is closing in on His people more and more, the Lord is about pull the Grand Finale – one final Showdown before He returns! Hallelujah!

The Lord promised Shekinah Glory for this year beloveds and there is no doubt that He will not but bestow us this year with this grace and blessing henceforth! Hallelujah!

Awaiting with all of you to see the Biggest and Greatest miracle of all time that is to happen soon in its due time.
